5 Hours | Neuroscience of Yoga - Online Advanced Studies

  • Dates: Sunday, January 24, 2021
  • Hours: 12-5pm Eastern
  • Location: Virtual via Zoom
  • Teachers: Casey Backus. Physical Therapist & E-RYT 500

The practice of yoga is best known as a body movement practice of strength & flexibility, however, current research supports the abundant neurologic benefits of the practice. By practicing yoga and meditation, we are directly able to influence the function of the nervous system. This can include influencing sleep patterns, balance, coordination/skill acquisition, digestion, and other mental health benefits. Join Casey Backus, physical therapist/E-RYT 500, on a 5 hour virtual deep dive into the anatomy and physiology of the nervous system as they relate to yoga & meditation. No prior anatomy experience necessary. Meditation and related asana practice included. Recording available for 1 week following module.

Hours can be used towards a 300 hour certificate through Hot Asana Yoga University or towards continuing education requirements.
