Become certified to teach Restorative Yoga with Hot Asana founder, Virginia Gallagher. Restorative yoga enables deep physical, mental and emotional relaxation as you teach students to hold poses for longer periods of time with the help of props, calm music and verbal guidance. The main focus of this style of yoga is the resetting and stimulation of the parasympathetic nervous system. Restorative yoga is an excellent way to help your students relieve stress and enjoy long, meditative stretches while balancing the nervous and immune system. Restorative yoga is intended to take the mindfulness that is found in all disciplines of yoga to the next level. It’s still and slow, and it’s as much (or more) about the mind as it is the body. Take advantage of this opportunity to diversify your teaching styles as well as your knowledge base.

Hours can be used towards a 300 hour certificate through Hot Asana Yoga University or towards Yoga Alliance continuing education requirements.

Serving others through teaching yoga is a passion of mine. It is fulfilling on many levels to help others connect with the calm, authentic, peaceful outlet that lies within each of us. I am so grateful for my incredible partner and two children, but being a mother is simultaneously the most rewarding and most challenging thing in life; with that being said, I often need my own practice of yoga, meditation, and self care. To be connected to my own practice of yoga and to teach yoga, go hand in hand. Life is a beautiful whirlwind of change and challenge, and to practice yoga and meditation is to walk through life with a clearer mindset, present moment awareness and a grateful heart. I hope to share space with you on the mat!
