RYT 200
Salutations everyone! My name is Shane, and I have been practicing yoga off and on for the past 12 years. I originally found yoga here, at Hot Asana back in 2011 and I quickly felt the positive impact that yoga had on my body at the time. It wasn’t until late 2022, early 2023 that I felt the resounding call of yoga, and calming effect that practicing has on my mind. After sharing that with my co-workers in the Army, I was asked to teach students (as many as 200 at a time!) the amazing practice that is yoga. When I learned about teacher training and Hot Asana University, I immediately signed up to better instruct my students that I have been entrusted to train.
I studied under Virginia Gallagher, Tali Sessions, and Kai Salang for my CYT-200. Being able to express my creativity in developing a beneficial vinyasa flow that opens the body and quiets the mind has been incredible. An aspect of yoga that calls to me is helping those with chronic injuries and PTSD/trauma healing. I enjoy giving back and sharing health beneficial information with people, and yoga has quickly become the centering that my life has needed, and I am excited and eager to share that peace that yoga gives me with others.
