I have been interested in spirituality from a young age and started my yoga asana journey in 2015 while in grad school. In the past I’ve felt uncomfortable in fitness classes but after my first yoga class I immediately felt like I had found my place. I love yoga because of the deep mind-body connection it helps to foster and how it allows me to feel more at home in my body. In 2018 after living abroad on a fellowship year, I pursued my 200 hour YTT in Rishikesh, India and have been teaching since. I am currently working on my 300 hour YTT through Hot Asana University.
Off the mat I work in global health and am passionate about wellness in communities of color. My goal in class is to create an approachable and supportive environment with space for exploration. I love building community through yoga and remain a student first.
