Yoga became a part of my life over 15 years ago, when I came to a realization that something needed to change, in me, in my perspective, and in my ability to be consistently resilient.
I grew up in Germany, I’m the mother of two beautiful children, and have always been involved in some form of sport. I’ve been an aerobics instructor, a distance runner, and earned a black belt in martial arts. The body craves movement as much as the mind. In our busy world today, it can be difficult to find contentment, to be in our bodies. Yoga offers just that, a slowing down of the senses and a being in the body and the moment. For me, the physical results are a bonus. However, a strong, resilient body and mind are key to a happy and fulfilled life!
As an Army Veteran, and a Survivor, I initially sought out some form of coping skill, something to ease my mind and calm my body. I was exhausted. I found Yoga. Syncing the mind, body, spirit, and breath was my answer. More than just a coping skill, it’s become my way of life. I look forward to sharing what I’ve learned through the practice of yoga. And I am extremely grateful to do it here at Hot Asana. Namaste.
