My yoga journey really began at the start of 2021 after I completed an eight week-long mindfulness workshop. I was living in Okinawa Japan at the time, and I found myself really searching for something after struggling during the pandemic and ongoing lockdowns in Japan. I started by going to a few classes a week, and by the fall of 2021 I decided to take a 200YTT at my local studio. After completing my 200 hours I was invited to stay on and teach at The Yoga Tree Okinawa which was such an incredible compliment and opportunity. It was within that studio space that I found a community, a mentor, and a lifelong practice that I absolutely love and believe in. After a year of teaching at both the studio, and on base for the active duty community I decided to go for my 300YTT in the fall of 2022. I spent an incredibly intense month in Bali completing my 300 hours which was one of the most challenging experiences of my life. I'm eternally grateful for my time spent in Asia despite all of the challenges because it led me to who I am right now. I'm excited to be living back in the Land of the Pines, and I'm beyond thankful to be sharing my practice with Hot Asana.
