Hot Asana Southern Pines Manager, RYT 200, Yin Yoga Certified
All my life I was a competitor. From college basketball, to olympic weightlifting, I gave 110% of my mind and body to the sport. Unfortunately, in my early 20’s I suffered a few debilitating injuries that left me with a feeling of great loss. Who was I, if not a competitive athlete? I then went on a search for something to help ground me… and most importantly to help me heal both physically and mentally. That is when I truly fell in love with yoga. Yoga allowed me to go inward, reset, and refocus on what is important. It allowed me (for what felt like the first time) to be truly present.
In 2016 I finished my 200 hour yoga teacher training in San Diego, California and began teaching soon after. Through teaching I have fallen even deeper in love with the practice. It is truly a gift to be able to guide others through a practice of self discovery, and I will always be grateful to the students who show up, and guide ME with their energy each and every class.
