We will use iRest Yoga Nidra techniques throughout the weekend for our own self care and to develop an expanding tool bag to draw from to support our clients. Training topics include: Daily trauma-aware movement practices. Understand the way the body and mind hold their experiences. Somatic experiencing exercises. Ways to support your students with any type of trauma and chronic stress. Safe adaptations of yoga postures for any physical challenge. Creation of a secure space for your students to experience themselves in a gentle and supportive manner. Deepen your sensitivity to your students' needs using self-care techniques. Teach grounding meditations for anyone with trauma. Cultivate and deepen personal practice.
Hours can be used towards a 300 hour certificate through Hot Asana Yoga University or towards continuing education requirements.
