Become certified to teach Restorative Yoga with Sarah Spence & Julie Myers. Restorative yoga enables deep physical, mental and emotional relaxation as you teach students to hold poses for longer periods of time with the help of props, calm music and verbal guidance. The main focus of this style of yoga is the resetting and stimulation of the parasympathetic nervous system. Restorative yoga is an excellent way to help your students relieve stress and enjoy long, meditative stretches while balancing the nervous and immune system. Restorative yoga is intended to take the mindfulness that is found in all disciplines of yoga to the next level. It’s still and slow, and it’s as much (or more) about the mind as it is the body. Take advantage of this opportunity to diversify your teaching styles as well as your knowledge base.
Hours can be used towards a 300 hour certificate through Hot Asana Yoga University or towards Yoga Alliance continuing education requirements.

$250 deposit paid upon registration to secure your spot.

I began practicing yoga in 2012 and it wasn't long before I became hooked. I fell in love with the shared energy of practicing yoga in a hot room and it was then I knew I wanted to become a yoga teacher. I trained for my 200 hour certification under Virginia Gallagher and Angela Hsu in 2017. After my initial training, I quit my job and dedicated all my time and energy into being a career yoga teacher by teaching full time and managing various studios until purchasing Hot Asana Yoga of Colorado in 2022. It's a privilege to lead others through asana and I love what I do! It's my hope that through the practice of yoga, I can help others in the way that it helped me with my journey of freedom, healing, and self-discovery.
Other non-yoga passions of mine are jujitsu, reading, and dog training & nutrition. I am currently working on becoming a CPCN (Certified Professional Canine Nutritionist).
Julie Myers
E-RYT 500, YACEP, Certified Hot Asana Assist, Hot Asana Yoga University Faculty, Ayurvedic Practitioner
Julie completed her first yoga training in 2012, after practicing for a year, she knew yoga was something she wanted to share. She has always found movement to be a nurturing, powerful force in her life. Julie fell in love with the grounded yet expansive that she experienced with asana and meditation. Yoga practice has inspired her to grow and expand in ways she never imagined. It is this experience she hopes to share with her students. While working as a Physical Therapy Assistant, she began to weave yoga into her work and witnessed that healing calls for an integrated, multi-dimensional approach; one that allows us to see each other as whole no matter what challenge we are taking on. She is grateful to be a full time yoga teacher, yoga teacher trainer, and Ayurvedic Practitioner.
Julie trained with Siva Power Yoga in Wichita, KS where she earned her 200 hour certification and has continued her education through Inner Peace Yoga Therapy earning a 300 hour certification, where she learned how to apply the therapeutic benefits of yoga for chronic pain, anxiety, depression, addiction, cancer and grief. She has also completed Warriors at Ease Level 1 training diving deeper into the human stress response, the nervous system, and the neuroscience of trauma. In 2020, after years of practicing Ayurveda, she began to pursue studies at the California College of Ayurveda. She is an Ayurvedic Health Counselor and will graduate as a Medical Ayurvedic Specialist in 2024.
