Become certified to teach Hot Yoga with experienced Hot Asana Hot Yoga Teacher Sarah Spence. Hot Yoga is an important addition to other yoga class styles. This style focuses on multi-level, alignment based, longer holds, in powerful standing postures, eliminating stress on the shoulders, elbows and wrist joints while building full body strength and flexibility.
Learn dynamic and interesting transitions to replace the “Flow” typically used in a vinyasa style class to link postures together, anatomy of key muscle groups used in a “standing” practice, and how to build a class that differs, yet compliments your Vinyasa Teacher Training.
This training will include the key differences between Hot Yoga & Hot Vinyasa teaching, appropriate postures for a Hot YogaClass, two Hot Yoga practices, 3 sample scripts, the History of Hot Yoga from the Calcutta tradition, and Sanskrit terminology for traditional poses used in a Hot Yoga Class.
Take advantage of this opportunity to diversify your teaching styles as well as your knowledge base . Sign up to learn how to present classes that cater to students who, for many reasons, may desire to spend more time in each
posture developing physical and mental stamina and avoid the upper body weight bearing required in “vinyasa flow”.
Hours can be used towards a 300 hour certificate through Hot Asana Yoga University or towards continuing education requirements.

I began practicing yoga at home in 2012. I quickly became hooked on the movement, breath, and the way I felt after my practice. Since taking my first in-studio class in 2014, my practice grew exponentially and I fell in love with the shared breath and energy of practicing yoga in a hot room. It was then that I knew I wanted to embark on the journey of becoming a yoga teacher. I trained for my 200 hour certification under Virginia Gallagher and Angela Hsu in Danville, Virginia and am currently working towards my 500 hour certification through Hot Asana Yoga University. It’s a privilege to lead others through yoga and I love what I do! It’s my hope that through this practice, I can help others in the way it’s helped me with my journey of freedom, healing, and self-discovery.
When I’m not teaching yoga, I’m taking reiki and tarot clients, reading, roller skating or biking around town, hiking, or studying to become a certified astrologist. I’m also the mom of two fur babies and more plants than I can count.
