Valerie grew up in the city of soul, blues, and r&b, training a myriad of dance styles, gymnastics, and fitness. Movement has always been her medicine. She found herself on the yoga mat in 2010 when she was going to culinary school. After long hours of standing on her feet she went to a class to stretch. She experienced an authentic connection between her mind, body and spirit that created a positive impact on her life and kept her coming back for more. She found herself stepping on to her mat day after day, healing, growing, and becoming the woman she was proud of. The lessons that she was learning on the mat began to reflect in her daily life.
Valerie obtained her 200hr hatha yoga certification from Tribalance Yoga School in Roselle, IL. She was fascinated by the study of yoga and was eager to keep learning. She then received her certifications in Restorative/Yin, Senior and Aerial Yoga. Valerie is a Certified Holistic Nutrition Therapist and Integrative Health Coach.
