Stacey Forend

Stacey is deeply rooted in the philosophy, traditions, and lived practice of Yoga. Her teaching began in a heated room leading slow flow Vinyasa, and her devotion to Yin, Restorative, and Yoga Nidra continues to shape her embodied, attuned style. Her path into Yoga began in 2008/2009 following a diagnosis of fibromyalgia, when she stepped into her first Kripalu-style class in a hot yoga studio and began a decade-long practice under teacher Vanessa Martins. In 2016, she attended her first yoga and meditation retreat, deepening her personal practice. In 2018, after completing holistic health counseling training at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, she began formally stepping into teaching following an immersive retreat in Costa Rica. She completed her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training with Lora Ksieniewicz of Yoga San Kalpa, with a focus on anatomy, biomechanics, and asana. She later completed a 40-hour Yin Yoga and Yoga Nidra certification, and a 75-hour mentorship with Sherry Sidoti of Fly Yoga School, centered on devotional studies, Bhakti, and deep exploration of the psoas. She is also a mother of two and grandmother of two, and practices locally as a psychic medium, reiki energy practitioner, spiritual mentor and end of life doula. Her intuitive work weaves into her teaching, guiding students with presence, strength, and embodied wisdom.
