Yin Certified

I began my yoga practice in 2014, looking for a healthy way to deal with the daily stress that seemed like a “normal” part of my life. Gradually, I felt a change, not only in my physical self, but also in my emotional self, gaining a sense of ease and calm that I had never felt before.

By 2016, I wanted to deepen my own practice, and completed a 200 hour teacher training program in Rochester, NY. Initially, I had no intention of actually teaching. But about halfway through the training, I thought “I want to share this!” I am passionate about the idea of spreading the word; of providing opportunities to make yoga more accessible to those who may have limitations, who think they are not strong enough, flexible enough, young enough, or fill-in the-blank enough to practice. Becoming Yin yoga certified, through Hot Asana University, has been an ideal complement to my initial training, allowing me to begin to explore the practice of letting go and finding stillness.

I enjoy linking mindful messaging to poses, guiding students to find their full, open-hearted expression of each movement, ensuring a safe, supportive, and healthy practice for all. I know the practice of yoga has forever changed my life. It is my dream to allow others to feel that same physical, mental, and emotional impact.
