My yoga journey began in 2012. I was tired of being awakened at night by hip and back pain. I had a friend who taught yoga and kept encouraging me to try it, saying it would help ease the pain. After a few months, I was hooked. I was sleeping so much better and I could feel myself getting stronger. And it wasn't just my muscles I could feel getting stronger, it was also my spirit lifting and my soul grounding.

I have always enjoyed helping people feel better – mostly through the art and science of nursing. This year, after thirty years in the nursing/nurse anesthesia profession, brought me to a new path and a new journey. I lovingly and joyfully leave my nursing career behind as I find a new and different way through yoga, to benefit my family, friends and community.

I completed my 200 hour yoga teacher training in March of 2016 from Hot Asana University. The most important message I can pass on is that one is never too old to learn or too old to change one's path. Find your passion, grab it, and refuse to let it go. Namaste!
