ANDREA BRIDGER

Andrea Bridger

CYT 200, CYT 500

My yoga practice began as a college student in search of a new form of exercise to supplement my marathon training. Yoga was secondary for me until about five years ago when I was introduced to Baron Baptiste’s Forty Days to Personal Revolution workshop offered at my local studio. As yoga works, now yoga has become a way of life, part of my soul. I am addicted to the quiet space and stillness of the mind as well as the intense physicality. Yoga has strengthened me in body, mind and spirit. My yoga and meditation practice remind me to breathe and remember that we always have a choice to choose the life we want to live and that we can retrain the mind to deal with life as it is not as we think it should be. Being present is the practice of yoga. I completed my 200 hour RYT training and certification with John and Chris Yax of Yax Yoga Concepts in March 2013. In addition I have completed workshops with Bryan Kest, Rolf Gates and Ashley Turner. I am a registered Hot Yoga and Vinyasa teacher with Yoga Alliance. My desire as a teacher is to offer guidance and compassion to all students and help them bring harmony and balance into their life. The poses are not only about form but the suttle experiences and the space our practice creates to allow us to reflect and grow.
